Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 2026-10-13

loving wants everyone to be able to run a store and shop on one, including people who use assistive technology. This statement explains the standard we work to, where we fall short today, and how to tell us about a barrier.

What this statement covers

  • loving's website (loving-app.com), its sign-in pages and the shopper account center;
  • the merchant dashboard, including the AI builder and Studio;
  • the sign-in hub every storefront uses to sign shoppers in.

Each storefront's own design, words and pictures are made for its merchant — by the AI builder or by hand — and published by the merchant, who is responsible for their store's accessibility under the laws that apply to it, such as the European Accessibility Act for businesses selling to consumers in the EU.

The standard we work to

Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, which is also the basis of the European standard EN 301 549. loving is partially conformant: much of the platform meets it, and the known exceptions are listed below.

What we do

  • The dashboard is built on accessible interface components with keyboard support and managed focus for menus, dialogs and pickers.
  • Our website and storefront designs respect your system's "reduce motion" setting.
  • Every storefront the AI builds goes through an automated design review. Images with no text alternative and icon-only buttons with no accessible name are blocking findings the AI has to fix. The review also flags missing or out-of-order headings, clickable elements that are not buttons or links, missing focus indicators, and theme colours whose contrast is too low.
  • Interface text is available in seven languages.

Known limitations

  • Studio canvas. Designing on the Studio canvas relies on pointer interaction and visual layout; it is not usable with a screen reader, and some tasks have no keyboard alternative.
  • Drag and drop. Some reordering, for example in navigation menus and the collections tree, may require dragging.
  • Maps and charts. Location maps and the charts in Analytics and Finance are visual. Addresses and the main figures are also shown as text, but some details in a chart have no text alternative yet.
  • Animated demonstrations. The demonstrations on our home page play automatically, and not all of them can be paused yet. With "reduce motion" switched on they show a still state instead.
  • Arabic layout. Arabic text is translated, but pages keep a left-to-right layout.
  • Merchant content. The quality of image descriptions, colours and copy on a storefront depends on its merchant.
  • Third-party pages. Stripe's payment pages and Google's sign-in pages are provided by those companies under their own accessibility commitments.

Feedback and contact

If you meet a barrier on loving or need information in another format, email hello@loving-app.com and tell us the page, what you were trying to do and the assistive technology you use, if any. We will reply, and where we cannot fix the problem quickly we will help you get what you need another way. If a barrier is on a store's own content, we will pass it to the merchant.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the authority responsible for accessibility in your country.

About this statement
