Subscription & Billing Policy
This policy explains how loving subscriptions and AI credits are billed and managed. For refunds and cancellation terms, see the Refund & Purchase Policy. Current prices are shown on the pricing page and at checkout.
The subscription
Each store on loving requires its own subscription, billed in advance through Stripe. You choose how you pay: monthly, or annually at a discount equivalent to roughly two free months. The subscription keeps the store's dashboard fully available and its storefront online, and includes an allocation of AI credits granted every calendar month on both plans — the annual plan is billed once a year, but the credits still arrive monthly.
You can move between the monthly and annual plans at any time from your dashboard's Account section. Switching to annual charges the prorated difference for the remainder of the current period straight away. Switching back to monthly does not produce a refund: the time you have already paid for is converted into account credit and applied to your future invoices until it is used up.
AI credits
Credits are the platform's metering unit for AI usage. Your subscription grants a fixed number of credits each billing cycle; the grant does not roll over indefinitely but adds to your balance, and additional credit packs can be purchased at any time while the subscription is active. Credits have no cash value and are non-refundable.
Certain usage is allowed to take your balance below zero — most notably storefront customer sign-ins, which are charged automatically so shoppers are never blocked. A negative balance is settled automatically: the shortfall is deducted from your next monthly credit grant or credit-pack purchase.
What consumes credits
| Feature | What is charged |
|---|---|
| Store builder agent | Per run, based on the AI usage of the run (model tokens consumed while designing, coding and managing your store). |
| Shopping assistant | Per customer conversation turn on your storefront, based on model usage. |
| AI translation | Per translated section, based on model usage. |
| AI image editing | Per generated or edited image, based on image-model usage. |
| Writing assistant | Per writing operation in the editor, based on model usage. |
| Storefront customer sign-in | A small fixed number of credits per customer sign-in session (currently 4). May take the balance negative; never blocks the shopper. |
Usage-based charges are derived from the underlying AI provider cost plus a platform margin. Your dashboard's Account section shows your balance, usage history and the credit value of recent activity.
Spend controls
You can set a monthly credit limit for customer-facing AI (the shopping assistant and storefront AI features) in your dashboard. When the limit is reached, those features pause until the next month or until you raise the limit. The store builder you operate yourself is not affected by this limit.
Credit packs
Credit packs are one-time purchases that top up your balance immediately. They require an active subscription, are charged once through Stripe at purchase, and follow the same non-refundable terms as all credits.
Renewals, invoices and payment methods
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period — monthly or annually, depending on the plan you chose. Payment methods, invoices and billing details are managed through the Stripe billing portal, available from your dashboard's Account section.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, the subscription enters a past-due state and we retry the charge. After a short grace period (currently about three days), the store is taken offline: the storefront stops serving and the dashboard is limited until payment succeeds or the subscription is reactivated. Your data is retained as described in the Privacy Policy.
Cancellation
Cancelling stops the subscription at the end of the current billing period — see the Refund & Purchase Policy. After the period ends the storefront goes offline and dashboard access is limited until you resubscribe.
Store deletion and your data
Deleting a store sets its subscription to stop at the period end and starts a 30-day recovery window. Restoring the store within the window resumes the subscription. After the window, the store and its data are permanently deleted, except records retained for tax, accounting or legal obligations.
Changes to pricing
We may change subscription prices, credit allocations or credit pricing. Changes are announced in advance in the dashboard and take effect at your next billing cycle; they never apply retroactively to a period you have already paid for.
