Cookie Policy

Last updated: 2026-09-16

This policy lists the cookies and browser storage loving actually uses. The short version: we set a small number of first-party, strictly-necessary and preference entries only. loving uses no advertising cookies, no analytics or tracking scripts, and no third-party cookies. Because none of our storage requires consent under laws like the ePrivacy rules, we do not show a cookie banner.

Cookies we set

These cookies are set on the loving platform (the website and merchant dashboard):

CookiePurposeDuration

loving_locale (previously be_locale)

Remembers your interface language (English or Arabic).1 year
lastStoreSlug

Remembers your last-used store so dashboard links open the right one.

Session-persistent preference
Authentication cookies

Keep you signed in to the dashboard (session and refresh tokens set by our auth system).

For the sign-in session

On storefronts hosted by loving (each store's own address), one cookie is set:

CookiePurposeDuration
sf_localeRemembers the language you chose for that storefront.1 year

Browser storage on storefronts

Storefronts also use the browser's local storage, scoped to each store's own address and never shared across stores:

  • storefront:locale:{store} — your language preference for that store.
  • storefront:cart:{store} — an anonymous cart token so your cart survives a page reload before you sign in.
  • Sign-in tokens — if you create a customer account on a storefront, its session tokens are kept in that store's local storage (not cookies), so your session is isolated to that store.

Other local storage on the platform

  • The image editor keeps an autosave draft of your edits in the browser's IndexedDB (be-image-editor) so unsaved work survives a reload; it is cleared when you save or discard.
  • Starting a new store stashes your prompt in session storage for the duration of the signup flow.

All of this stays in your browser — none of it is a tracking identifier.

Third-party services

When you pay — a merchant subscribing to loving, or a shopper checking out on a store — payment pages and embedded payment components are provided by Stripe, which may set its own cookies for fraud prevention and security as an independent service under its own policies. Signing in with Google involves Google's own pages and cookies.

Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies and site data in your browser settings. Blocking the cookies above will sign you out, reset your language choice or empty an anonymous cart, but nothing else — there is no tracking to opt out of.

Changes

If we ever add storage categories that require consent, we will update this policy and add the required consent controls before doing so.
